Lea Richardson is an ecologist, educator, PhD candidate, and Presidential Fellow in the Plant Biology and Conservation Program at Northwestern University and the Chicago Botanic Garden. Prior to pursuing a PhD, Lea was a teacher at North Hollywood High School Highly Gifted Magnet, a public high school in Los Angeles, California. Lea’s personal mission is to further humanity’s understanding of how ecosystems work through her own research program, and by supporting and inspiring a diverse group of young people to start tackling these critical research questions in ecology.
